Over the last four newsletters, I’ve described Care Net’s Pro Abundant Life message. But there’s more to it. In the illustration, the Pro Abundant Life message is the roof, supported by two pillars drawn from the Gospel of Matthew: Family and Discipleship.

The circumstances of Christ’s birth form the first pillar when the angel Gabriel goes to both Mary and Joseph, encouraging them as parents to their son and as spouses. This is God’s design for us.

Christ’s instruction in Matthew 28:19 is the second pillar: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations...” Each of us needs to minister to women and men considering abortion and share the Gospel with them in order to complete His work. This is God’s command to us.

Care Net’s vision forms the foundation: a culture where women and men faced with pregnancy decisions are transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ and empowered to choose life for their unborn children and abundant life for their families.

The values of the manger family are a mother and father, united in marriage, loving each other, loving their children, and loving God. But it’s through discipleship that we lead the modern family to embrace those same values. This then provides the cover women and men need to make life-affirming pregnancy decisions that include marriage, parenting, and adoption. 

Since 2008, you’ve helped save the lives of over 531,000 unborn children, share the gospel with more than 1.3 million people, and deliver vital family education to nearly 1 million people through the work of Care Net. With this Pro Abundant Life outlook and your continued support, I look forward to reaching even more for life and for Christ!
