Karina* could feel her pulse rising the moment her eyes caught the two lines on the pregnancy test. Life was already difficult, and this unexpected pregnancy couldn’t have come at a worse time. There was no way she could even think about having a baby now. She was desperate, and in the back of her mind she knew her options were limited. Little by little, her dark thoughts led her to believe that the only way to get her life back on track was to have an abortion.

After a bit of digging online, Karina found Pregnancy Decision Line; Care Net’s hotline for anyone facing a pregnancy decision. They had just what Karina needed right now: answers and support. Working up the courage, Karina told the coach all about her situation and asked what an abortion would be like.

The Coach kindly offered factual descriptions of abortion procedures. Somewhere in the middle of the description, something deep inside Karina changed!

Karina knew that she just couldn’t do that to her baby! In her heart, she desperately wanted to keep her baby, but she didn’t know how she could do that. She was still in a hard situation, and having a baby wasn’t gonna make things easier.

As the conversation continued, the coach started sharing the Gospel: how Jesus died for her  and offered her a chance at an abundant life in Him. As she listened, Karina wanted to wrap herself up in this promise and make it her reality. Casting off her doubts, Karina gave her life to Christ!
