The Drop Box: God's Love in Action

"Without great need, there is no need for great compassion." ~Roland C. Warren

As the hands and feet of Christ, it is our privilege to show the love and compassion of Christ to a broken world.  The Drop Box is a powerful example of what God's love looks like in action.

In Seoul, South Korea hundreds of unwanted newborn babies are abandoned every year.  If no one saves them, they will die.  Pastor Li sees the babies as helpless, voiceless humans who have a right to live like everyone else.  He created a drop box where mothers could place their babies, and he and his wife have devoted their lives to raising and caring for the abandoned children.  They have over 20 children in their house with all kinds of disabilities and special needs.  Drop Box is a documentary of this story.

The director stated, "God’s love is not this schmaltzy coffee cup thing. God’s love is gritty and messy and goes to the gutters for the broke and lost people."  This film exemplifies just that.  It is a powerful picture of the gospel and the unfathomable sacrifical love of God on our behalf.  God's love is a love that sacrifices everything for those who don't deserve it.

In watching this film, you will be inspired to think about what God's love looks like, and how you can share it with those in your community.

Drop Box is in theatres for just three days for March 3rd, 4th, and 5th.  Take your friends, family, and church groups.

Then get involved locally, showing the love of God to those in need in your own community through your local pregnancy center.
