What is the most rewarding part of your job?

Before I was a director of a pregnancy center, I thought I knew what directors needed. But after leading and serving in a center, I realized how little I knew before, and it gave me such a deep understanding and compassion for those who are serving clients day in and day out. It was definitely the Lord’s way of preparing me for this role, but I can think of very little that is more rewarding than getting to serve those who serve.

What is your favorite Bible verse/book/chapter/section? Why?

I always end up going back to Romans 8:1-2: "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death." The fact that I don't deserve His freedom and grace, yet He gives it to me anyway -- that's something I don't ever want to take for granted.

What is something people don't know about you?

For awhile, I lived and worked in New York in the hopes of breaking into the acting biz. I became an excellent waitress and learned how to do a lot on very little sleep. It was such a fun time of my life, and while I miss performing, I still sneak some into the conference each year.

What is your favorite book (other than the Bible)?

The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom.

Who is your favorite fictional character?

Fanny Brice from Funny Girl. Or Pete the Cat. I love voicing both of those characters.
