Care Net Responds to Attack in Wisconsin

LANSDOWNE, VA – Care Net President Melinda Delahoyde today responded to a demand by the Freedom From Religion Foundation that the State of Wisconsin remove referral information for Care Net pregnancy resource centers from the state’s website.

In a letter to Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, Delahoyde said that the Freedom From Religion Foundation “has singled out Care Net because Care Net’s services are motivated from a Christian concern for women and children.”

Delahoyde further noted that Care Net is an approved service provider in Wisconsin and that 98% of clients indicate that their overall experience with Care Net is positive. They deliver services “without regard to age, race, nationality, religious affiliation, disability, or other arbitrary circumstances.”
