Being able to "be there" for people in a crisis. I have been privileged to engage them to consider an option that is truly in their (and their baby's) best interest long term. The MOST rewarding is when I am able to engage them on a spiritual level. Many of my clients allow me to pray with them and some have engaged in conversations about God's plan of salvation for them. I feel like I am walking on holy ground.
What is your favorite Bible verse/book/chapter/section? Why?
Pr 3:5-7 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding... Be not wise in your own eyes, fear the Lord and turn from evil." This speaks to issues I face most often. When I'm trusting in my own understanding or am wise in my own eyes, there is a lack of the fruit of the Spirit of love, joy, peace etc in my life. It seems to say that "being wise in our own eyes" is the opposite of fearing God, and that it is evil.
Do you have any weird phobias?
I don't know if it is weird, but I'm quite fearful of heights.
