This week is National Nurses Week and it is a perfect time to highlight the work your nurses do every day in your center.

Pregnancy center nurses are an incredibly skilled group of people who deserve to be celebrated! Not only have they gone through rigorous medical training to provide accurate information and perform their duties with excellence, they also have exceptional interpersonal skills they use every day to communicate compassionately with clients and walk with them through incredibly difficult, personal situations. Your nurses deserve to be honored!

One of the simplest, most heartfelt ways to honor your nurses is by writing a personal thank you note expressing your gratitude for everything they do for your center. Consider planning ahead and have all your other staff, volunteers and board members (if possible) sign a card for them too! You can also add a small gift card or flowers to further show your appreciation.

You can also publicly highlight their service in multiple ways; in a section in your newsletter, a special message to supporters during National Nurses Week, at a specific time during an annual fundraising banquet, or on your center’s social media accounts.
