Whenever I get to compose a prayer card it's my chance to reach out and touch someone's life. I do a lot of database work, so I'm often distant from a lot of the more interpersonal tasks. But when I write a prayer card, it's my chance to be a voice of truth and life to someone who just needs somebody to come along and say "By the Grace of God, you will overcome whatever threatens to undo you."

All that a person is--from eye color to blood type to hereditary traits--are wound up in that little strand of ribbon we call DNA fashioned at conception. Snip that ribbon, there's one less George Bailey in the world. When there's one less George Bailey in the world, a Bedford Falls becomes a Pottersville. Snip a ribbon, and you change the future in ways you can't begin to fathom.
