What is the most rewarding part of your job?

I feel so humbled to get to do this job each day alongside fellow believers. It is an honor to play a tiny part in God’s big, redemptive picture of love and grace through serving women, men, and their children in their deep moments of need.

What is your favorite Bible verse/book/chapter/section? Why?

Probably not a typical answer, but Job has become very close to my heart. The older I get, the more I can look back, and even look around my present, and see God’s fingerprints all over my life - and what I have consistently learned is that my job is to be obedient to a trustworthy, faithful God and he promises to bless that. We serve a sovereign God who holds our hearts close to his, who fights for us and, ultimately, has our best in mind.

Do you have any weird phobias?

I wouldn't call it a phobia, but let's be honest, cows seem pretty untrustworthy.

Why are you pro-life?

I have always held the belief that all life is sacred and that each person created, from the moment of their conception, is an image bearer of the amazing God we serve. I believe that God makes no mistakes in his authorship of life and that he has designed each and every life with a purpose.

Where are you from? Where did you grow up?

I am from (what used to be) rural Minnesota! The Twin Cities have slowly expanded through the suburbs and beyond and my tiny hometown is no longer quite so small. I had the most wonderful childhood out in the country, living a very small town life that I wouldn’t trade for anything. I lived there until I married my Air Force husband and together we have lived all over the place.
